<CoverPageProperties xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2006/coverPageProps"><PublishDate/><Abstract>Context : The objective of this study is to describe the epidemiological profile of HIV-positive regular donors from January 2018 to December 2020 in greater Abidjan, in order to contribute to transfusion safety in Côte d'Ivoire.Methods : This is a three-year retrospective study from January 2018 to December 2020. The study focused on donors, volunteers, volunteers. During this period, in Greater Abidjan, there were a total of 383,465 regular donors, including 113 cases of HIV/AIDS seroconversion. Cases of seroconversion were investigated; This took place from February to August 2022. We had 111 respondents and 2 cases of refusal to participate in the survey. The data was extracted from the CNTS medico technique software and the calculations were made by Excell 2013.Results: During this three-year assessment, the prevalence of HIV among regular donors in greater Abidjan was 0.03%. The age group of 31 to 44 years predominated in our study with 52.3% of cases. The median age was 44; the male gender accounted for 85.6% of cases; the higher level of education (Bachelor and above) predominated with 41.4% of cases. HIV positive regular donors with intermediate professions predominated with 29.7% of cases. Those whose income was less than 200,000 FCFA predominated, followed by those whose income was less than 75,000 FCFA. They were in a free union in 40.5% of cases and in 72% of cases they had multiple sexual partners. In 94.1% of cases, they had HIV 1.Conclusion : Further studies should be conducted to measure the impact of awareness campaigns conducted by the CNTS, focused on the prevention of HIV AIDS, among blood donors in general and regular blood donors in particular.</Abstract><CompanyAddress/><CompanyPhone/><CompanyFax/><CompanyEmail/></CoverPageProperties>
