According to the principle of the role
of natural environment and population factors in social development, the
importance of sustainable development strategy is explained.
Natural environment is one of the main
factors of social existence or social material living conditions, and it is the
necessary condition of social existence and development. It plays an important
role in social development. First of all, the natural environment provides a
source of social life and means of production. Secondly, the pros and cons of
the natural environment have positive or negative effects on the improvement of
labor productivity, and promote or delay social development. Thirdly, natural
ecological balance plays an important role in social life. Rational utilization
of natural resources and protection of ecological balance are the necessary
conditions for the normal development of society.
Demographic factors include the
quantity, quality, growth rate, density and so on.
Population is a necessary condition for the existence and development of a
society. First of all, man is engaged in material production activities and all
other social activities of the subject. Secondly, factors such as the quantity
and quality of the population accelerate or delay the development of production
and social progress.
The idea of sustainable development
originated from environmental protection. In 1980, the World Union of Nature
and Natural Resources (IUCN) first put forward the concept of "sustainable
development". In 1987, the World Commission on Environment and Development
put forward the strategic idea of "sustainable development". The core
idea is to protect resources and improve the environment at the same time of
economic development so that economic development can be sustained. In the
process of our socialist modernization, we must adhere to the strategy of
sustainable development. To effectively protect resources and the environment,
we must not only manage current development, but also think about future
generations. According to the national conditions of our country, we must carry
out the family planning policy to control the population growth. We should
correctly understand and handle the relations between population and economic development,
population and social progress, population and environmental protection.
Briefly explain the
principle and practical significance of science and technology as productive
forces.
Science and technology is an important
component of productive forces. Science is a system of knowledge that reflects
laws. Technology is a physical science. Science and technology are intelligent
elements. The transformation of science and technology into direct and
practical productive forces must be done in the following ways: first, by
combining it with the means of labor, for example, by improving tools and
increasing productivity; Second, combine with the object of labor to improve
the object of labor and increase productivity; Third, combine with workers and
transform them into knowledge and skills; Fourthly, it can be applied to
production management to improve management level and then improve labor
productivity. Science and technology have become the forerunner of modern
productivity and the primary factor of economic growth.
Based on the important role of science
and technology, the Party formulated the strategy of rejuvenating the country
through science and education. To place scientific and technological progress
in a key position in economic development is the only way to vigorously develop
the productive forces, ensure the sustained, rapid and healthy development of
the national economy and realize socialist modernization.
