Using the principle of social basic contradictions, analyze the situation of the movement of the basic contradictions of our socialist society.

The basic contradiction in a socialist society is still that between the productive forces and the relations of production and between the superstructure and the economic base, which has the following basic characteristics.

First of all, under socialist conditions, the relations of production and the productive forces, the superstructure and the economic base are basically compatible. A socialist economic system with public ownership and distribution according to work as the mainstay and with multiple economic components coexisting or developing side by side is basically adapted to the situation of China's productive forces. The socialist political system with the dictatorship of the proletariat and the leadership of the Party as its main content and the socialist ideology guided by Marxism are basically adapted to the basic conditions of the socialist economy. This shows the superiority of the socialist system.

Secondly, there are still incompatibilities between the socialist relations of production and the productive forces, and between the superstructure and the economic base. But the incongruous aspect is non-fundamental. Under socialism, these contradictions are non-confrontational and can be resolved entirely through adjustment and reform. We must carry out economic restructuring and establish a dynamic socialist economy with Chinese characteristics. It is necessary to carry out the reform of the superstructure and establish the political system and ideology that meet the needs of the all-round development of society.

Combined with global problems, analysis of the duality of the social role of science and technology.

The rapid development of science and technology is like a double-edged sword, which not only benefits mankind, but also causes global problems that threaten life and society.

Science and technology are advancing by leaps and bounds, and while human beings are creating brilliant achievements, they are gradually falling into some kind of dilemma. Over-rapid population growth, food shortage, depletion of energy and resources, environmental pollution and ecological destruction are becoming more and more serious problems. The global problem is caused by the wide application of science and technology to nature which is out of control. It is the result of unreasonable use of science and technology and the conflict between man and nature.

Global issues profoundly reflect the contradiction between science and value. Whether science and technology can benefit mankind depends on the people who master science and technology and the rational control of human beings on the application of science and technology. The positive effect of science and technology on social development is a major and fundamental aspect, and global problems cannot be sought by preventing the development of science and technology.

Solving global problems depends on efforts and conditions in many aspects. First of all, we should reform the social system and strengthen international cooperation and dialogue. Second, we should establish a global concept and a sense of crisis and refrain from seeking quick success and instant benefits. Third, we must vigorously develop science and technology. Only with the further development of science and technology and productive forces can we create new material conditions for getting rid of the predicament of mankind.
