How to understand the
philosophy of the Han and Tang Dynasties "three kinds of sex"?
The theory of three kinds of nature
was the mainstream of the theory of human nature in the Han and Tang Dynasties.
Scholars tried to solve the theoretical contradictions exposed in the debate of
good and evil nature.
The theory of three kinds of sex was
first put forward by Dong Zhongshu. On the premise of
his induction theory of "nature and man are mutually compatible", the
innate benevolence and greed are implemented into human beings, and the three
qualities are formed due to the different proportions. It can be regarded as
the synthesis of the two theories of good and evil.
After Dong Zhongshu,
Wang Chong demonstrated the difference between good and evil with his innate
strength. From the perspective of the relationship between the first and the
day after tomorrow, the first natural gas is formed and cannot be changed
again, but the environment after tomorrow can change the temperament. From the
human nature grade, the top and bottom products that is "extremely good
extremely evil" unchanged, and in the product is due to the nature of the
original good and evil and variable. Morality and propriety are still the basic
criteria for Wang Chong's evaluation of good and evil.
Han Yu is another main representative
of the theory of three kinds of sex. The characteristic of han yu is to develop the
three kinds of sex and emotion into the three kinds of sex and emotion on the
basis of distinguishing the categories of sex and emotion. He believed that the
nature is innate, affection is acquired, the standard of human goodness is
whether he has benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and trust of the
five virtues: good character, because the five virtues nature is complete; In
the five virtues are uneven; The inferior character is evil, because one virtue
is not possessed. The nature of the middle product can be differentiated upward
and downward through the acquired guidance, while the nature of the top product
and downward product will solidify and remain unchanged. However, although the
grade of the upper and lower products is unchanged, learning and enlightenment
are still necessary. Because the good nature of high quality can be carried
forward through learning, and the evil nature of low quality can be easily
subdued through education, and make them know the sin and commit less.
How to understand Huineng Zen's theory of "knowing mind and seeing
nature"?
Mind nature is the core category of
Buddhist philosophy. The basic point of Huineng's
"understanding mind and seeing nature" is to adhere to the purity of
nature and directly connect the Buddha nature with human nature and the truth
with my heart, so as to become a Buddha without the help of external
cultivation effort and language as a tool of wisdom. Insight on the noumenon is the self-reflection of wisdom. "Knowing
the mind and seeing the nature will become the Buddha's way", and language
and writing will of course become redundant. As far as the relationship between
mind and sex is concerned, sex is not independent, but in the mind. The mind is
the house of sex and the sex is the master of the mind. At the same time, since
nature is Buddha nature, and Buddha nature is self-enlightened, everything is
subject to the highest need to become a Buddha, so the mind is either existing
or bad according to the nature. Consciousness and seeing nature are the
invention of the same Epiphany process of liberation.
However, knowing the mind and seeing
the nature does not mean grasping the mind as a concrete object of knowledge,
for in fact it is still bound to the object of knowledge without real
liberation. "Realizing the truth as nature" is the self-manifestation
and self-detachment of Buddha nature on the basis of breaking the inner lust
and attachment.
