How to view the role of the theory of good nature in the harmony of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism?

Good nature is not only a Confucian patent, buddhas also speak of good nature. The three religions are able to reconcile their views on the good and evil of human nature. The basic point is that they all emphasize the goodness and tranquility of nature. From the perspective of "heart", that is, the essence of Confucianism, it is the "consistent" way to be quiet, to be good and to be mature, while in Buddhism, it is the "beginning with the good". Accumulation of good, adult is "finally with good nature". Therefore, Confucianism and Buddhism are completely complementary and mutually supporting: Confucius taught the middle way, established the emperor ji, established the value orientation of the country; Buddha guided individuals to be self-conscious and self-disciplined, so that the value orientation of the state was transformed into the pursuit of self-practice.

The key of "the same morality" and "the same merit" in Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism lies in the unity of "tranquility" and "purity". Confucianism and Taoism advocate "tranquility", while Buddhism advocates "purity". However, "tranquility" aims at "purity", and the elimination of desire is the common requirement of the three schools. The content of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism is to cultivate the mind and get rid of the evil and follow the good. That is, the purpose of stillness is "purity", thus revealing the supreme good nature (Buddha nature).

How did Li Ao discuss his "love revenge"?

Li Ao does not agree with Han Yu's theory of the three qualities of temperament based on the consistency of temperament. He connected "the nature of the mandate of heaven" with "life is quiet, the nature of heaven is also", and thought about the category of the nature of the mandate of heaven from the perspective of "quiet", thus taking a new step in the history of the development of the Confucian theory of nature.

In Li Ao's view, the nature of destiny is quiet and pure good, while the reality of human activity is both good and evil. Since the good of love is the natural continuation of nature, the evil only reflects the unique characteristics of love, so Li Ao's theory of sex is usually summarized as the good of nature and the evil of love, and the way to save it is to destroy the love and revenge.

Li Ao said that it is the static return from the trend, the reality to the innate return. The clarity of nature will not be eroded away by the interference of acquired desires. In moral practice, the key of moving back to stillness lies in the elimination of desire, which belongs to the category of movement. Confucian asceticism and Buddhist asceticism are combined here.
