The study aims to identify the challenges facing the translation market in Burundi and to propose solutions to overcome them. A quantitative methodology was used to conduct the study, involving data collection by means of a questionnaire administered to freelance translators and clients. The results identified the following challenges: (1) lack of demand for translation; (2) low remuneration rates for translators; (3) lack of recognition of the profession; (4) lack of regulatory standards; and (5) lack of resources and appropriate translation tools. However, the following solutions have been proposed: (i) improving professional training for translators; (ii) developing partnerships with international translation agencies; (iii) raising awareness of the importance of translation among the authorities and businesses; and (iv) setting up a national agency to regulate translation services.
<CompanyAddress/><CompanyPhone/><CompanyFax/><CompanyEmail/></CoverPageProperties>
